JABULANI MALL.
Located in the heart of Soweto and is the biggest mall in Soweto. It opened its doors in October 2006 and has since satisfied the palate of the Soweto shoppers by offering a variety of national shoe and fashion outlets that cater to each individual's taste.
PROTEA GLEN MALL.
Opened in September 2012 and is on the main arterial route between Krugersdorp and Lenasia, the mall offers almost everything from clothing and shoes, to restaurants and fast food outlets.
Shops include Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Ackermans, Clicks, Edgars, Fashion World, Foschini, Identity, Jet, Legit, Matrix Computers, and many more. There is also a food court made up of restaurants such as Debonairs, Hungry Lion, Mi Vami, or Old Fashioned Fish & Chips. McDonald's and KFC.
There are many other smaller shopping centers in Soweto that people can visit to do shopping, eat, buy their electronic gadgets and have them repaired.
BUNGEE-JUMP FROM ORLANDO TOWERS.
The massive towers are eye-catching with their brightly drawn exteriors that are seen from miles away. The brave and those who live under the code YOLO visiting Soweto can grab the opportunity to bungee-jump from these 100 meters towers.

VILAKAZI STREET.
The famous street in the township. The two well-known and globally respected, the late former president Nelson Mandela and the late Archibishop Desmond Tutu, both once found a shelter within this street, this makes Vilakazi street the only street in the world to have housed two Nobel Prizes winners.
SOWETO VIBES.
Most Sowetans don't dream of leaving Soweto. The visitors also get to experience the electrifying thrill and great vibes, by just being in Soweto. It's still a fabulous place of choice to live in.
KOFIFI CAFE.
Beautiful place to chill with family and friends. Kofifi cafe is situated in Protea Point and offers plenty of delicious food and beverages. It's a safe place to chill with plenty of parking, it's also close to ATMs, KFC, Pick n Pay, and some other stores.
THE TAVERN.
Situated in Maponya Mall, this South African-inspired restaurant serves up all your typical South African foods. from grilled meat and pap to dombolo, samp, and cold beverages. The place also hosts music events and comedy events.
KONKA.
Known as the "millionaire's playground", Soweto's Konka nightclub is famous for its lavish interior, expensive drinks, and high-profile celebrities who pump up the party every weekend. Konka is a restaurant and nightclub in Soweto, Pimville, it's an original Soweto-based brand that was founded as a direct result of the success of Moja Café.
TIME TO WORSHIP.
Soweto caters also to different religions we have in South Africa, it is home to the largest Roman Catholic Church in South Africa, Regina Mundi which is located in the middle of Soweto, in Rockville, in the neighborhood of Moroka. Built-in 1964 and to date, the church has been already visited by some prominent individuals, the likes of Nelson Mandela, Michelle Obama as well as Bill and Hillary Clinton. During the apartheid, the church was a refuge for many, giving them shelter and protection regardless of their beliefs or religion. In 1997, former President Nelson Mandela established 30 November as "Regina Mundi Day" to honor the church.
RHEMA BIBLE CHURCH.
The church is on Mdlalose Street in Protea North. It has two Sunday morning services that are between 8 am to 10:30 am, and its doors are open 30 minutes before each service. Rhema Bible Church hots its Annual Conference in their 7,250 seater auditorium in Randpark Ridge, Randburg. During this conference it is expected to have more than 50, 000 delegates pass through the facility.
Other Churches that are within and around Soweto are St John Church, situated on Tshabangu street, Lutheran church in Dhlamini, and St. Mary's Anglican Church in Orlando East. There is also Kliptown Mosque in Klipriviersoog Estate and Green Masjid in Eldoroda and the Soweto Mosque on Makanda Street in Dhlamini.
THE SOUTH OF JOBURG.
SOUTHGATE MALL.
One of the most popular regional shopping centers in Johannesburg. The mall offers visitors and shoppers almost everything from clothing, jewelry, and food, to electronics and household goods.
Some of the shops within the mall are Woolworths, Checkers, Pick n Pay, Edgars, Truworths, etc. Other features include banking facilities, a post office, and the Ster-Kinenekor cinema complex.
When you are hungry or taking your family out you can enjoy meals or takeaway meals from Debonairs, Roman's Pizza, Fish and Chips, KFC, McDonald's, Spur, Steers, Wimpy, etc. Opposite this famous mall, there is a Builders Warehouse, Shoprite, Cash Converters, Nandos, and a Cubana to chill and relax with family and friends.
KIDS WORLD & WATERPARK.
Located at 1 Rifle Range Cnr Nasrec Road, it's a place that caters to all ages and is also good for hosting parties. Kids World and Waterpark offer great entertainment for everyone toddlers, kids, and adults plus bring and braai facilities. Toddlers can have fun with activities such as play gyms, swings, and mini carousel, while older kids can have fun on jungle gyms, rocket rides, jumping castles, and slides. MALL OF THE SOUTH.
Built and located in one of the wealthiest suburbs in the south of Joburg, Aspen Hills. It's a 72 000 Square Metre regional shopping center offering over 160 fabulous stores, free Wi-Fi, and a vivid view from two main arterial roads, namely Kliprivier Drive and Swartkoppies Road.
The Mall of The South has all major banks and anchor tenants, namely Checkers, Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Edgars, Game, Dischem, Clicks, and more.
The mall provides shoppers with an open and refreshing atmosphere with its fountains, indoor trees, and greenery.
GOLD REEF CITY THEME PARK.
It's less than 15 minutes drive from the Southgate Mall. It takes one back to the gold rush days through a series of thrilling theme park rides and historical exhibits. It is a family-friendly attraction that hosts reproductions of buildings and businesses from the era. It also gives you an opportunity to tour a disused shaft of the Crown Mines, one of the richest gold mines on earth.
